Normal domain syntax flows from right to left in that the Most Significant information is on the Right and the least Significant information is on the Left.

"/" is the Most Significant piece of information! The "/" is called "Root" and represents the Root DNS Servers. Those servers can tell you where to find the "info" DNS servers.

The "info" servers can tell you where to find the "NorthHigh" DNS servers within "info" Domain.

The "NorthHigh.info" DNS Servers can tell you where to find the "mail73" DNS within the "NorthHigh.info" DNS Servers" (Note that mail is of less significance than 73 the class year!)

The "mail73.NorthHigh.info" DNS Servers can tell you where to find the "www" DNS within the "mail73.NorthHigh.info" DNS Servers"
